Instructions:
Scrap Mechanic Image Maker uses JavaScript to convert your images into Scrap Mechanic blueprints. Just follow the instructions below!

Generating the blueprint:
  1. Find an image. It can be of anything, but remember that small-medium sized images are better (as they'll be less pixelated!).
  2. Click that button below.
  3. Adjust the image ratio (number of pixels per block)1 by clicking the blue magnifying glass .
  4. Click .
  5. Wait! For any image of any appreciable size, this can take a while!

Loading the blueprint in Scrap Mechanic:
  1. Make (or download) a creation that you're okay deleting. Anything works, as long as it's saved on your machine. You can leave Scrap Mechanic open while you do the rest of this.
  2. Open a folder (or Windows Explorer), and in the address bar, type 📂%appData%
  3. Look for an 📂Axolot Games folder. Go in there, then 📂Scrap Mechanic, 📂User, and finally 📂User_xxxxxxx (where xxxxxxx is some random-looking number). This is where your info's stored (so, ya know, be careful!).
  4. Go into the 📂Blueprints folder. Here are all the creations you've saved/downloaded. Unfortunately, the folder names aren't terribly helpful, so instead, you can probably assume that the most recently modified folder is the one you want. Right-click and click "Sort by → Date Modified", then pick the first folder.
  5. You should see three files: the icon.png (which is irrelevant for us), the description.json, which holds just descriptive info (like what you called it, your description, etc.), and the blueprint.json. The last one's the one we want
  6. Open blueprint.json in your favorite plain text editor (that means not MS Word, WordPad, Google Docs, Open Office, or any other word processor with formatted text!).
  7. Copy the contents of the Output box.
  8. Replace the contents of blueprint.json, and save it.
  9. Load your image in Scrap Mechanic

1. Important note: due to the way the math works, certain picture ratios will produce a skewed image. If this happens, try increasing or decreasing the ratio by 1.
